Q: How do I enroll in the Corporate TRICARE Supplement Plan?
Enrollment in the Corporate TRICARE Supplement Plan usually occurs during the employer's Open Enrollment Cycle. The Plan is typically offered as a voluntary benefit, pre-tax and through payroll deduction. Once your employer decides to make the Corporate TRICARE Supplement Plan available, just inquire to HR about enrolling.

Q: What health services does the Corporate TRICARE Supplement Plan cover?
The Corporate TRICARE Supplement coupled with your TRICARE benefit entitlement can replace your major medical benefit. Therefore it may cover most health services that other major medical plans cover. However, it is always best to check with TRICARE to assess whether a service is covered or not. The Supplement does not cover any services not covered by TRICARE. The Supplement only picks up most out-of-pocket expenses for TRICARE covered services.

Q: Can the Corporate TRICARE Supplement Plan be offered pre-tax only?
The TRICARE Supplement Plan is usually offered pre-tax as a voluntary benefit, through an employer's cafeteria plan. However, some employers can choose to offer the plan post-tax or on a direct bill basis (where the employee pays premiums directly to Selman & Company without the benefit of pretax savings).

Q: How does the Corporate TRICARE Supplement Plan compare versus other benefit options?
The Corporate TRICARE Supplement Plan is a voluntary supplemental benefit program. It acts as a wrap around to TRICARE. When combined, the benefits typically match up well compared to other insurance plans.

Q: Can I choose to enroll at anytime?
Since the Corporate TRICARE Supplement Plan is usually offered through a cafeteria plan, enrollment takes place during the employer's open enrollment period.
